 Older models - all repairs & servicing SERVICES from $129*
To avoid any confusion with customers looking at our site - our cheapest service starts from $129 and this would be for an oil change with up to 4.5 litres of oil and an oil filter for the average small car. This price will increase depending on the age of your car, and amongst other issues, how well maintained it is and the size/type of engine.
We do not have set prices, but are happy to give you a free quote - please bear in mind there are many ways to draw you into any mechanical workshop with cheap prices and deals - we prefer to tell it as it is and quote each job separately. Every car is different. If your car is regularly maintained, with oil changes (using quality oils); replacement of perishable parts(often made of rubber) at the recommended time frame set by manufacturers and is serviced regularly for brakes, auto transmission oils etc it stands to reason that your long term expenses will be less than if you just give it a couple of oil changes (which are often confused with "service") a year as the first time you take it to a professional mechanic who cares he/she will tell you all the parts that may have "expired" in your car's engine and these can so quickly mount up. Regular maintenance by an experienced, honest mechanic is the only way to go. We do reward our regular customers at our own discretion, we NEVER upsell or put anything on your car that you do not need!
A MAJOR SERVICE usually takes up to 1.5 hours and includes: new oil filter, new air filter, new spark plugs (4cyl only standard type), up to 4.5 litres of Shell oil. Every car receives a full brake check and is test driven before and after service prior to being released. Regular maintenance and expert fitting ensures the performance and efficiency of your vehicle every time. Free log books issued to older cars if required. Any other repairs/parts will be charged separately and only carried out with your prior permission.
MANUFACTURER LOG BOOK SERVICE/NEW CAR SERVICE
Keeping Your New Car Warranty SAFE by using genuine parts and fitted by experienced mechanics. Each job is quoted for separately, because every car is different. PLEASE DO NOT think you have to get your car/4wd serviced by the dealer to maintain your warranty! Ask your dealer outright if it is imperative to use them for services - if you need advice - drop in with your car and we will do our best to find the right answer for you.
*4WD, larger cars, diesel & some Euro vehicles will cost extra.
PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTIONS - from $90 are always recommended for every car/4wd and our fully comprehensive written reports start at $150 inc gst. Title/ownership and history of any vehicle can also be carried out at an extra cost.
Paul Wilding, owner, strongly believes these are becoming more and more necessary as many "back yard mechanics" buy and repair cars and without the proper equipment, knowledge or GCCC approvals, the cars are then sold without any warranty or responsibility. Always take any car you are considering purchasing to a mechanic with a hoist - you MUST look at the following:
- UNDERNEATH AT ENGINE MOUNTS & RUST
- CHECK TYRES CAREFULLY
- DRIVE SHAFTS
- LIFT THE BONNET - check major components
- SERVICE HISTORY (many have not been serviced for years and you could be up for $$$$ to put it right!!)
- ACCIDENT REPAIR WORK - it is not illegal to repair a car that has been in an accident, but it is important that the work has been carried out properly and complies with Qld regulations, check for different paint colour, ill fitting panels/doors etc.(our standard report does NOT check the Qld regulations for repair work, but we can do this for you at extra cost - it's not difficult, just time consuming so you can do it yourself).
You must have this type of knowledge before you buy what could be one of your biggest assets! A RWC from the seller is often not sufficient information.

We have experience in all makes and models of cars and 4wd's including landrovers and european makes. You will be delighted at the level of service and the price we can offer you every time.
SERVICE INFORMATION FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND & CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Once your car arrives for repairs or a service we will give it a full inspection - this can take from 30 minutes to an hour - newer cars can take less and some 4wd vehicles a little more.
We will then call you to confirm the cost of any work required over an above what was discussed when you dropped your car in. We will advise you which work is necessary to ensure safety and which work can wait for another time. Once this has been decided a quote will be given and then with your approval work will go ahead.
Sometimes parts may be required for a car which are not immediately available and in this unavoidable instance you will immediately be advised of the delay and its reason.
Our team members ALWAYS use protective floor mats, seat covers and guard covers on your car during any work undertaken. We work on many prestige cars and older precious makes - every car is someone's pride and joy and we respect this every time.
All cars undergo a safety check at every service visit, it is part of our service to let you know what work may be required now or in the future. We understand your car may be your second largest asset and carries your family and friends around. Safety is important to us and you.
We will do our utmost to provide any kind of service and repair to your car including RWC's, air-conditioning, electrical work, panel beating and only use trusted professionals. Convenience to you is priority to our team.
Our labour rates are extremely competitive and regularly compared with other workshops working to the same high standard. You will be more than pleasantly surprised at our charges to take care of your car.
Many of our clients are females who do not feel the need to be accompanied by their husband/boyfriend/brother etc when visiting our workshop. We treat every customer with the respect and courtesy they deserve.
